When I saw the new Muppets movie (which was amazing) I realized that it's probably not very difficult to make your own Kermit. After some googling I discovered that in the '80s Vogue released a series of Muppet Babies patterns for just that purpose. I found the patterns on eBay, and made my own Baby Kermit, and his iconic sailor suit too.

Now it may be said that a plush Kermit doll isn't really the most practical of baby shower gifts. So I decided to also make a quilt. A well-loved baby quilt is something that people tend to hang on to — I know I've still got mine. So to accompany Baby Kermit is my first ever attempt at quilting, and I'm quite proud of it.
I found this adorable vintage Muppet Babies and baby Sesame Street fabric on eBay. I only had a very small amount of the Sesame Street fabric, so that dictated the final quilt pattern to a certain degree. I also love the gingham border — it's classic and brings out the Kermit green.

SO ADORABLE!!! I WANT TO HAVE A BABY YOU CAN MAKE THINGS FOR!
