Handmade Halloween

What are you going to be for Halloween this year? I so wanted to make this Simplicity steampunk dress, but my pattern only just arrived in the mail and there's not enough time. Alas, alack! I definitely still have to make it, but it will have to wait until next Halloween, or maybe next Fan Expo.. (Love me some nerd time!)

So anyway, back to the drawing board. My other idea is to go as Kelly from the amazing BBC show, Misfits. I just need to find an orange jumpsuit, stencil "Community Payback" on the back, and get me some badass, big hoop earrings. I'll also need to work on my chav accent. Maybe there's a youtube video out there for doing the opposite of a My Fair Lady?

Seriously, if you haven't seen Misfits, do it now. It's like Skins meets Heroes - five kids doing community service get hit by lightning in a crazy storm and end up with super powers. Kelly can hear people's thoughts, which is definitely something that I could live without. Check out  this fan-made trailer for series one, and I swear you'll be downloading it on iTunes in no time:

Do you live in Toronto? What are you doing this Halloween? Suggestions wanted!
